Plendl set a new school record for most blocks in a career this week as the Blugolds won one out of two games. Wednesday in a 61-56 win over UW-Superior, Plendl had a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. She also had four blocks to tie a school record for most blocks in a career. Saturday, Plendl had another double-double but the Blugolds came away with a loss at UW-Whitewater. She reached game-highs in both scoring and rebounding, with 19 points and 12 boards. Plendl also had six blocks, breaking a school record for most blocks in a career with 219. The previous record was 213, set in 1995 by Arlene Meinholz. With 74 blocks for Plendl so far this season, she needs just eight more to break her own school record of 81, which she set last season.
