Two Men's Basketball Players Honorably Mentioned on All-WIAC Team

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's basketball players Lewis Mau (So.-Colfax, Wis.) and Jordan Petersen (Sr.-Strum, Wis./Eleva-Strum) have been honorably mentioned on the 2013 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team, announced today.

Mau led the Blugolds this season in points per game as he averaged 11.4 (284 points in 25 games), a mark that ranked 14th best in the WIAC. He was also third on the team with 50 assists and led the Blugolds with 38 steals, or 1.52 per game which was third best in the league.

Petersen was tied for second on the team in points per game with 11.2 (279 points in 25 games), which ranked 17th best in the WIAC. He also led the team in assists with 55, tied for 12th in the WIAC. Last season, Petersen was named to the All-WIAC first team.

Additionally, Andy Kleist (Sr.-Eau Claire, Wis./North) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team, which was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each school. Kleist started all 25 games this season and was second on the team with 110 rebounds.
