Schwamberger Named WIAC Coach of the Year

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - For the fourth straight year, UW-Eau Claire women's cross country coach Dan Schwamberger has been named the WIAC Coach of the Year.

Schwamberger claimed the coaching award for the fourth consecutive season after directing UW-Eau Claire to the WIAC championship, NCAA Division III Midwest Regional title and a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championship. His string of four straight coaching honors matches UW-Oshkosh's Deb Vercauteren for the longest in conference history. She won four straight trophies from 1986-89 and 1993-96.

Schwamberger was also named the NCAA Division III Midwest Region Coach of the Year before the national meet.
