Women's Swim & Dive Falls to St. Cloud, Defeats UWSP

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's swimming and diving team had a busy Saturday, competing in duals with St. Cloud State and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, falling to St. Cloud 177.00-119.00 and defeating UW-Stevens Point 188.00-110.00.

Results

Samantha Senczyszyn led the Blugolds, taking first in three events. The freshman won the 100 yard Breaststroke in 1:05.71, the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 54.21 and the 200 yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:24.78.

Other winners for UWEC were Allie Hable, who won the 50 yard Freestyle with a time 24.73 and Hannah Sisto, won 200 yard Butterfly with a time of 2:15.80

Diver Kate French was first on 3 meter dive with a score of 258.30 and second in the 1 meter dive, scoring 228.10.

"I am really happy with our women's team and their performance today," said Head Coach Annie Ryder. "We have a big freshman class and many of them stepped up and had great swims today. Our women really came together and did a nice job."

Next up for the Blugolds is a home dual with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Nov. 7 at 1 p.m.
