School Record Falls in Women's 400-yard Medley Relay in Day 1 of Rochester Invite

ROCHESTER, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming and diving team completed day one of the Rochester Invite Friday night, with the women's 400-yard relay team setting a new school record to lead the Blugolds.

Day one results

Maddie Gray (Sr.-Roseville, MN), Samantha Senczyszyn (Fr.-Grafton, WI), Hannah Sisto (Fr.-Neenah, WI), Allie Hable (Sr.-Ankeny, IA) set a new school record with a time of 3:52.67. The time placed them third on the day behind St. Cloud State and Minnesota State-Mankato's 'A' squad.

The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Sisto, Brittany Farr (Fr.-Madison, WI/James Madison Memorial), Gray and Rachel Treadway (Sr.-Cottage Grove, MN/East Ridge) also turned in a strong performance with a time of 8:03.30 for eighth place.

The men's 400-yard medley relay team of Thomas Hensen (Jr.-Delafield, WI), Ben Fisher (Jr.-Roselle, IL/Lake Park), Ryan Young (Jr.-Lakeville, MN/North) and Logan Coert (So.-Cedarburg, WI) had a strong night for the Blugold men, placing fifth with a time of 3:31.51. while the 800-yard freestyle relay team of Jack Kelly (So.-Medina, MN/Wayzata), Nicholas Stern (Sr.-Waverly, IA/Waverly-Shell Rock), Dayton Miller (So.-Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) and Coert were sixth with a time of 7:15.94.

The Blugolds will be back in the pool Saturday for day two of three of the invite.
