Women's Swim & Dive Swims Past Eagles

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's swim and dive team earned their first win in over 15 years over the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday, defeating the Eagles 126-117.

Results

The 200-yard medley relay team of Maddie Gray, Samantha Senczyszyn, Rachel Treadway and Allie Hable started the Blugolds off with a first place finish, clocking in at 1:49.48.

Sidney Fairbrother and Sari Mailey went 1-2 in the 1,000-yard freestyle, finishing with times of 11.29.51 and 11:31.13, respectively.

Senczyszyn took first in the 200-yard freestyle with 1:59.28 along with taking first in the 100-yard freestyle (53.31)

Hable claimed a victory in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 25.02.

Treadway and Hannah Sisto took the top spots in the 400-yard IM, recording times of 4:45.84 and 4:51.97. Treadway also notched a victory in the 500-yard freestyle (5:24.24).

The Blugolds took the top three spots in the 100 yard-breaststroke, with Sara Tainter, Rachel Chatwin and Dana Rossebo finishing with times of 1:11.40, 1:11.70, and 1:12.07, respectively.

Diver Kate French won the 3-meter dive with a score of 272.60, achieving an NCAA zone cut.

"Our women stepped up and had some big swims," said head coach Annie Ryder. "We really came together as a team and it showed in their performance today."

The Blugolds will be back in action Saturday, Nov. 14th as they host Minnesota State-Moorhead.
