Gymnastics Competes at WIAC Championship & NCGA West Regional

OSHKOSH, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team competed at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship and the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional on Saturday. The Blugolds finished in 7th place and had six athletes place in the top-15 during their respective events.

Results

Harriet Toth (So. – Regina, SK/Martin) and Haiven Gipson (Fr. – Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) tied for the top Blugold scores on the vault with a pair of 13th place finishes and 9.600 scores. Ava Obermoller (Fr. – Hawley, Minn) led UWEC on the bars with a 14th place finish and a 9.300.

Toth continued her leadership on the beam with a team high 9.650 and a tie for 14th place. Georgia Guynn (Fr. – Dallas, Texas/Plano East) and Tia Ravara (Jr. – San Leandro, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) were close behind with a 20th place finish for Guynn (9.575) and a 22nd place finish for Ravara (9.550). On the floor, Molly Campbell (Fr. – Lincoln, Neb./Northeast) placed 25th with a 9.550 routine.

In the all-around competition, Harriet Toth placed 5th with 36.900 points, Ravara finish 7th with 35.875 points, and Campbell 8th with 35.400 points.

Kelsey Donovan (Jr. - Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Blugolds will await the selections of the 2023 NCGA National Meet that is scheduled for Saturday, March 25th on the campus of Winona State University.
