Blugolds Honor Five During Senior Night

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team was back at home on Friday evening with UW-La Crosse in town. The Blugolds' last home dual of the year was highlighted by personal records and a celebration of their six seniors.

Results

Haiven Gipson (Fr. – Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) started things off strong for Eau Claire with a third-place finish on the vault and recorded her second best score of the season with a 9.550. Andrea O'Connell (So. – Blue Mounds, Wis./Mount Horeb) captured the next highest score for the Blugolds with a 9.325 and a sixth-place finish. On the bars, Harriet Toth (So. – Regina, SK/Martin) led UWEC with a 9.250. Tia Ravara (Jr. – San Leandro, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) was close behind with a 9.025.

Molly Campbell (Lincoln, Neb./Northeast) recorded the highest beam score for Eau Claire on the night with a 9.500 and a third-place finish. Georgia Guynn (Fr. – Dallas, Texas/) and Liliana Shank (Sr. – Elkhart, Ind./Concord) weren't far behind with scores of 9.350 and 9.300. On the floor, Emma Barry (Sr. – Allen Park, Mich.) recorded her second highest score of the year with a 9.375 and a fifth place finish. Molly Campbell scored the next highest UWEC score with a 9.275.

The Blugolds will be back on the road on Friday, February 17th when they travel to Hamline University for another Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual. First rotations are scheduled to begin at 6:30PM.
