EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — Former University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics coach Jean DeLisle has been named to the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2023. DeLisle will be inducted at a banquet ceremony on March 24, 2023, in conjunction with the NCGA Division III national championships at Winona State University.

NCGA Release

DeLisle coached the Blugolds for 15 seasons from 2003 to 2018. She coached a pair of national champions in that span: Theresa Lynch (floor exercise, 2006) and Michaela McCamey-Metropulos (balance beam, 2012). Under DeLisle's guidance, the Blugolds tallied 37 All-America performances, with 13 individuals earning All-America status. DeLisle was named WIAC Coach of the Year three times.

By the time DeLisle retired following the 2017-18 season, she was the second-longest tenured coach in program history. She coached the Blugolds to seven top-10 team finishes at the national championships. UW-Eau Claire placed fourth at nationals in 2004-05, which stands as the best finish in the history of the program. With DeLisle at the helm, the Blugolds tallied three conference runner-up finishes.
