Blugold Gymnasts End Regular Season at Winona State

WINONA, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team ended the regular season at Winona State University (Minn.) tonight, where the Blugolds fell short 185.300-181.600.

Eau Claire captured victories in the floor exercise and in all-around competition.

Elizabeth Stubbs (Fr.-Wayzata, Minn.) finished in first place in the floor exercise as she scored a 9.725, a career-best performance.

In the all-around, Danielle Schulzetenberg (Sr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) was the lone competitor and she finished with a score of 35.000. She was also the Blugolds' top finisher on the balance beam as she took third with 9.150 points.

Molly Senske (Sr.-Eden Prairie, Minn.) came in fourth place on the vault with 9.225 points to lead the Blugolds and Karla Hagen (Jr.-Chaseburg, Wis./Viroqua) finished with a career-high 9.275 points on the uneven bars, in fifth place.

March 9, the Blugolds will compete in the WIAC Championship/NCGA Regional, which will be held at UW-Oshkosh. Action will get underway at 5:30 p.m.
