Gymnastics Team Edges UW-Oshkosh on the Road

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team traveled to the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh to face off against UW-Oshkosh and came away with a 183.550-181.925 victory.

Blugolds claimed first place in four events tonight.

Two Blugolds tied for first in their respective events – Elizabeth Stubbs (Fr.-Wayzata, Minn.) in the floor exercise, and Rachel Behmer (Sr.-Maple Grove, Minn./West Lutheran) on the uneven parallel bars.  Both gymnasts scored a 9.475.

On the vault, Cece Solem (Sr.-Mendota Heights, Minn./Henry Sibley) took first place with a score of 9.425, a season-high. 

On the balance beam, UW-Eau Claire's Michaela McCamey (Jr.-Dayton, Ohio/Homeschooled) finished first with a score of 9.450.

The Blugolds' next performance is on Monday, when they travel to Hamline University (Minn.) for a meet that will begin at 6:30 p.m.
