Aschenbrenner has Career Day at Whitewater Triangular

WHITEWATER, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Olivia Aschenbrenner (So.-Cedarburg, Wis./Grafton) scored two career-highs as the UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team took third place at the UW-Whitewater Triangular with a season-best 181.200 points today.

UW-Whitewater won the meet with 187.175 while UW-Stout was second with 181.450.

Aschenbrenner had the Blugolds' best finish as she tied for second in the all-around competition with a season-high score of 37.150, a half-point from her career-best mark. She also led the Blugolds on the vault (fifth place, 9.325), uneven bars (tied for fourth place, 9.300) and on the balance beam (eighth place, 9.150). Her scores on the vault and bars were career-highs. She also just missed her career-best mark of 9.400 in the floor exercise as she came away with a score of 9.375, which was a season-high.

RachelAnn Anderson (So.-Maple Grove, Minn.) had the Blugolds' top finish in the floor exercise as she took third place with a career-high score of 9.575.

Next Sunday, the Blugolds will be at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) for a meet that begins at 2 p.m.
