STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished third as a team at the Mad Dawg Invitational, with freshmen Allison Chomniak (Fr.-Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) taking seventh overall.

Chomniak shot 85's in both rounds for an overall score of 170 (+24). Katy Bolduc (Jr.-Lake City, MN/Lincoln) followed with scores of 89 and 83 for an overall score of 172 (+26), putting her in 10th place.
As a team, the Blugolds cut six strokes off Saturday's round by shooting 344, solidifying third place with an overall score of 695.
Viterbo's "A" squad won the invitational with a team score of 666, with V-Hawk Danielle Ducklow taking the individual title with scores of 79 and 76 (155, +9).
Next up for the Blugolds is the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) tournament Oct. 9-11 at the Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa.
