Blugolds in 2nd After Round 1 of WIAC Championships

NEKOOSA, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team is in second place after round one of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships held at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa, Wis.

Meghan Lange (So.-Green Bay, WI/Southwest) and Katy Bolduc (Jr.-Lake City, MN/Lincoln) lead the way for the Blugolds, shooting 83's on the day, putting them in fifth place. Katie Moore (Jr.-Woodbury, MN/HS) also turned in a top 10 performance, shooting an 86, putting her in a tie for ninth place. The Blugolds turned in a team score of 340 on the day.

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh leads the field with a team score of 326, with McKenzie Paul leading with a 78 and teammate Laura Stair in second with a 79.

The Blugolds return to the links Saturday for round two of three, with the action beginning at 10 a.m.
