HASTINGS, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team wrapped up the spring season with a ninth place finish at the Carleton Invitational at the Bellwood Oaks Golf Club on Sunday, turning in a team score of 693.
Allison Chomniak (Fr.-Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) continued to lead the Blugolds in the second and final round, shooting an 83, tying for 16th overall. Katie Moore (Jr.-Woodbury, MN) followed with an 86, tying for 31st. Molly Lattery (So.-Poplar, WI/Northwestern) finished in 36th place after shooting an 88 and Lauren Gaffney (Sr.-Portage, WI) tied for 54th with a score of 95.
"The conditions were windier today and scores were higher but these girls tried their hardest," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "I'm proud that Allison Chomniak has found a great rhythm to her game and I know I can expect great things come next season from her and all my returners."
