LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (blugolds.com)-- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team traveled to the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for the UW-Stout Invitational. The Blugolds took first place for the second time this fall with a team score of 597.
Cole Jahnke (Sr.-Stillwater, MN) placed first individually posting a score of 141 (-2) over two rounds. Eau Claire had two other golfers place in the top ten overall. Connor Brown (Sr.-Racine, WI) finished in a tie for 4th place with a score of 147, and Fred Moede (So.-Prior Lake, MN) tied for 6th place scoring a 148. Nick Amtmann (So.-Nashotah,WI/Arrowhead) and Corey Boerner (Jr.-Bloomington, MN) placed in the top 20 tied in 18th place each with a score of 155.
The team will travel to Springfield, Ohio for the Wittenberg Classic hosted by Wittenberg University on October 16th and 17th.
