DECORAH, Iowa (Blugolds.com) The UW Eau Claire Cross Country team competed at the JV Cup on Friday afternoon hosted by Luther College on campus in Decorah, Iowa.  It was a perfect day for racing with temps in the mid 40’s, plenty of sunshine and a light breeze out of the west. 

The Blugold women had a decent day finishing 2^nd of four teams behind UW-La Crosse.  Lexie Tremble led the way for Eau Claire placing 6^th of 57 runners in a 6K time of 23:40.  Rounding out the top 5 scorers for the Blugolds were Rebecca Whipple (so.-Madison West) who placed 9^th in 23:57, Emily Jaeger (fr.-Fall Creek) who placed 10^th in 24:09, Maya Jourdan (fr.-DC Everest) who placed 12^th in 24:13 and Katie Wood (jr.-South Milwaukee) who placed 15^th in 24:18.

The Blugolds will be competing at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Augustana College at Saukie Golf Course in Moline, IL this Saturday, November 14^th.  The women’s 6K is at 11 am followed by the men’s 8K at Noon.
