MENOMONIE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's indoor track & field team competed at the Warren Bowlus Open, hosted by UW-Stout, and came away with three event victories today.
Winning the 60-meter dash was Marina Eggen (So.-Greenville, Wis./Hortonville), who finished with a time of 8.16 seconds.
Lindsey Laufenberg (Jr.-Waunakee, Wis.) captured first place in the 200-meter dash as she crossed the finish line with a time of 26.96 seconds.
In the 600-meter run, Calla Karl (Jr.-Frederic, Wis.) took first with a time of 1:40.73.
Additionally, the Blugolds had six second or third place finishes.
Next weekend the Blugolds will be at UW-Stevens Point for the Pointer Invite. Multi events will get underway Friday while the rest of the team will compete Saturday.
