RIVER FALLS, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's indoor track & field team competed well today at UW-River Falls' Brooks Classic, winning six events.
Talisa Emberts (Sr.-Sussex, Wis./Sussex-Hamilton) won the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.10 seconds, nearly two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
Kim Miresse (Sr.-Waukesha, Wis./North) took the top spot in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.53 seconds while Lucy Ramquist (Fr.-River Falls, Wis.) won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.42.
In the 3,000-meter run, Dana Griepentrog (So.-Mequon, Wis./Homestead) found her way to a win with a time of 10:34.56.
In the field, Heidi Anderson (Jr.-Baraboo, Wis.) won the triple jump with a mark of 33-11.25, more than a foot better than the rest of the competitors.
In relays, the 4x200-meter team won with a time of 1:44.34, less than a second behind a school mark.
Next Saturday, the Blugolds will be in Stevens Point for the Pointer Eastbay Invite. Competition starts at 10:30 a.m.
