Out of the 413 individuals honored, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team had a program record 11 wrestlers recognized.

A Historic Day for Drexler and Blugold Wrestling At WIAC ChampionshipsFebruary 28, 2021STEVENS POINT, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team traveled to UW-Stevens Point on Sunday for the 2021 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships presented by Culver’s. With 19 Wrestlers representing UW-Eau Claire in the tournament, the Blugolds would make history with their highest team placement at second place (141.5 pts). Jake Drexler (Jr. – Stratford, WI) led the Blugolds, claiming the title at 149 and becoming the first Blugold Champion since 2006.

(blugolds.com) - The 14th nationally ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team hosted UW-Platteville in their final dual of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular season on Thursday. The Blugolds would power through the final matches on their way to a 37-9 victory over the Pioneers.

(blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wreslting team was on the road Friday for more Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual action. They took on UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point from the Multi-Activity Center in Stevens Point, WI. The Blugolds would come away with two wins defeating UWO 26-14 and UWSP 30-12.

After a scoreless loss in their home opener, the Blugolds were able to earn themselves some team points, but it would not be enough as they took a 12-23 loss.

(blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team held their first home dual of the shortened Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) season on Thursday. The No. 18 ranked Blugolds took on the No. 5 ranked UW-La Crosse. In a hard, long physical battle, the Blugolds were unable to overcome the Eagles as they dropped their first dual with a score of 9 to 36.
