Meade Named 2021 WIAC Player of the Year

MADISON, Wis. (blugolds.com) - University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Lexi Meade (So. – Eau Claire, WI/ Memorial) earned Player of the Year honors to lead the individuals on the 2021 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Golf Team.

Meade becomes the fifth Blugold to secure the top honor, joining Jennifer Prock (2002), Maggie Loney (2004 and 2005), Sara Mattes (2010) and Kate Engler (2013).

Meade posted an 80.25 stroke average during the season and secured medalist recognition at the Carthage College (Wis.) Spring Invitational. She finished second at the UW-Eau Claire/UW-River Falls Invitational, third at the Bethel University (Minn.) Battle at the Creek, fifth at the Turtleback Invitational and eighth at the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's).

In addition, Jessica Rudnicki (Sr. – Sun Prairie, WI) earned second team All-WIAC honors. Rudnicki held an average of 84.63 throughout the Spring Season. She finished 3rd at the Firebird Spring Invitational and the UWEC-UWRF Invitational.
