LAKEWOOD, Ill. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team took part in their first meet on Saturday. The Blugolds took a trip to the Red Tail Golf Club and finished the day with a score of 360and finished in first place at the Carthage Spring Invitational.
The last time the Blugolds were on the course was October 2020 for the WIAC Championships.
Lexi Meade (So. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) led the way with an 83 and finished the day tied for 1st overall. Meade led all players for the most birdies (2) and lowest average score on par 4's (4.70). The 83 ties her career best round, which she shot back in 2019 playing for Drake University.
Jessica Rudnicki (Sr. – Sun Prairie, WI) finished with an 85 and took 3rd overall.
The Blugolds next match will be on Saturday, April 10 when they travel to UW-River Falls to play at Turtleback Golf Course.
