NORMAL, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team competed in the Illinois Wesleyan Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling this weekend, placing 13th in the 19-team tournament with a team score of 656.

The Blugolds shot a 330 on day one and a 338 on day two to finish 80 over par, improving their team score by four shots.
Kate Engler (Sr.-Beloit, WI/F.J. Turner) was the top finisher for Eau Claire, tying for 23rd, recording scores of 78 and 81 to finish 15 over par.
Katy Bolduc (So.-Lake City, MN/Lincoln) tied for 28th, shooting an 83 and 77 to finish 16 over par; setting a personal tournament best.
The Blugolds will be back in action next weekend as they compete in the Wartburg Invitational.
