AUSTIN, Texas (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Mitch Stegeman (Sr. - Coleman, Wis./Suring) has been named to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team.
While capturing a national title in the Decathlon this past spring and competing during the Indoor season, Stegeman posted a 3.80 for the 2022-23 academic year. This is Stegeman's first time earning a CSC Academic Honor.
Division III led all of the NCAA Academic All-America® teams with a 3.91 average GPA.
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Division III Academic All-America® program.
