Men's Outdoor Track & Field Opens Season at Emory Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's outdoor track & field team opened the 2012 season today by tying for ninth place at the Emory University Invitational.

The Blugolds finished with 39 points. Hope College (Mich.) won with 113.50 while Wilmington (Ohio) was second with 112.

Cody Prince (Fr.-Appleton, Wis./North) led the Blugolds as he won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.93 seconds. Jacob Dennis-Oehling (So.-Whitewater, Wis.) was third in the event with a time of 49.52 seconds.

Eau Claire also had four other top-five finishes.

The Blugolds will have next weekend off and will be back in action at the Wartburg College Select on April 6.
