EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's swimming & diving team took on UW-La Crosse today in the McPhee Physical Education Center.
One Blugold came away with a victory while the team compiled 13 total top-three finishes.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Alex Card (Sr.-Prior Lake, Minn.) took the top spot with a time of 49.26 seconds.
The Blugolds also had three runner-up finishes.
Nick Stern (So.-Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) came in second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:31.64.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Ryan Young (Fr.-Lakeville, Minn./North), Ben Fisher (Fr.-Roselle, Ill./Lake Park), Reed Molander (Fr.-Urbandale, Iowa) and Ben Epperly (Sr.-Schaumburg, Ill.) took second while the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Card, Aaron Lickel (Sr.-Madison, Wis./East), Epperly and Molander also took second.
As a team, the Blugolds fell to the Eagles 170-73.
Next up, the Blugolds will face UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls on Saturday, Nov. 23 beginning at 8:45 a.m.
