Men's Golf in First After Round Two of Twin Cities Classic

ELK RIVER, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's golf team moved up one spot into the lead after the second round of the 2011 Twin Cities Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.).

Eau Claire shot a 295 today for a two-round total of 593. Concordia College (Minn.) and Gustavus are both tied for second place with 600 strokes.

Tim McCormick (Jr.-Madison, Wis./Memorial) leads the Blugolds and the rest of the field of 96 golfers. He shot a 70 today for a total of 142 (-2) for the tournament. A total of four Blugolds are tied for 18th or better.

Monday, golfers will compete in the final round, which will take place at Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove, Minn.
