The Blugolds and Falcons are meeting for the 91st time in history Saturday. The game is the Blugolds' Hall of Fame Game and kickoff is set for 1 p.m. The game is a non-conference contest as part of the WIAC's cost-cutting measures.

LAST MEETING BETWEEN THE TEAMS
In the Blugolds' final game last season, they hosted River Falls and fell just short 45-42. Eau Claire got up first but River Falls had an answer for every Blugold score. In the second quarter, the Falcons scored 24 points to lead 24-21 at halftime. The Blugolds took a lead midway through the third but the teams went back and forth until the Blugolds again found themselves ahead 42-38 with four minutes to play.   • Blugolds finished 2nd in the WIAC in 2007. Finished 3rd in 2008
  • Coached Marietta College (Ohio) from 2003-2005
  • Led Marietta to first back-to-back non-losing seasons in 10 years
  • Named Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2004

UWRF Head Coach: Matt Walker - Online Bio

  • Walker is in his first season as Head Coach of the Falcons

  • He replaces the Falcons longest tenured coach, John O' Grady, who retired after 22 years
  • Head coach at DePauw University from 2006-2008 and compiled a 22-8 record
