With the No. 10 ranked (d3baseball.com) UW-Whitewater Warhawks were in town, the Blugolds looked to get back in the win column with the first doubleheader of a two-day series being played at Bollinger Fields. After a scoreless first inning, UWW erupted for six runs in the second inning to pull ahead of UW-Eau Claire. UWEC's only answer came in the bottom of the fourth inning with the bases loaded after two singles from Ryan Venne (So. – Eau Claire, WI/North) and Andrew Murphy (Fr. – Mahtomedi, MN) and a walk by Otto Treichel (Jr. – Madison, WI/West), Chase Yaeger (So. – Black River Falls, WI) grounded out to advance all the runners on base and record the lone tally for Eau Claire in the 16-1 loss.

Game two found the Blugolds behind the eight ball early again as the Warhawks scored four runs in the first two innings. Ryan Venne, Nate Witte (So. – Woodbury, MN/East Ridge), Otto Treichel, and David Janssen (So. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) all recorded hits for UWEC, but the offense couldn't find home plate in their second seven inning loss of the day, 13-0.
