MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) office announced the 2021 All-WIAC baseball awards on Wednesday. Tom Ginther (Sr. – Rock Springs, WI/Baraboo) was selected for the first team and Chase Yaeger (Fr. – Black River Falls, WI) was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Ginther led all Blugold pitchers with 60 strikeouts, a 4.47 earned-run average, and 54.1 innings pitched. Ginther also held two wins in nine appearances, including a victory over nationally ranked UW-Whitewater. He also tied for 4th for the most looking strikeouts in the WIAC with 23.
Chase Yaeger received a spot on the All-Sportsmanship team. Yaeger played second base for the Blugolds in 35 games this season, recorded 19 hits, and four extra base hits.
The Blugolds finished their season with a 5-23 overall record and in 7th place in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. This was the first season UW-Eau Claire had baseball back since the team was disbanded after the 1994-95 season.
