Wudi at Milestone as Blugolds Prepare to Host WIAC Final Four

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire volleyball coach Kim Wudi recently earned her 100th career victory. Her team is also preparing to host the finals of the 2010 WIAC Tournament this weekend.

Wudi, in her fourth season with the team, gained her 100th victory in a 3-0 win over Waldorf College (Iowa) last Saturday in River Falls. She now holds a 100-39 career mark and is just the second Blugold volleyball coach to have ever reached the milestone (her predecessor Lisa Herb was the other and she finished with a 627-208 career record). In the WIAC, only 15 other coaches have ever achieved 100 or more wins.

This weekend the volleyball team, which tied for the WIAC title this season, will host the final four teams in the WIAC Tournament. On Friday in semifinal action, Oshkosh will face Platteville at 5 p.m. while Eau Claire will take on Whitewater at 7:30 p.m. Friday's non-winners will play in a third-place match at noon Saturday and Friday's winners will play for the tournament championship at 2:30 p.m.
