Blugold wrestlers edged by Titans, 24-22

OSHKOSH, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The Blugold wrestling team narrowly lost their first conference dual of the season, 24-22, at UW-Oshkosh on Friday night.

Results

Ryan Behnke, Matt Laugen and Josh Cormican earned their second wins in as many days winning at 157, 165 and 174 pounds, respectively.

Behnke pinned Parker Knueppel at 3:44 while Laugen defeated Michael Berg 8-0 and Cormican edged Alan Dahlke 5-4.

Justin Karkula also recorded a pin for the Blugolds, taking down Emilio Gutierrez at the 1:09 mark. Tyler Henke also took home a victory, outlasting Dylan Riley, 5-3.

The Blugolds (0-2, 0-1 WIAC) return to the mat Friday, November 21 at UW-La Crosse.
