Blugold Wrestlers Fall to St. Olaf

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team fell to St. Olaf Thursday night, 14-27 in the first home dual of the season.

Three Blugolds tallied wins, led by Ryan Behnke. The sophomore notched the first win for UWEC at 165 pounds, winning by fall at 4:13 over William Collins.

 Matt Laugen followed with a win of his own at 174 pounds, defeating Seth Barkosky 12-3 while Josh Cormican defeated Robert Caulfield 15-5 to take the win at 197.

The Blugolds will be back in action Friday as they travel to Oshkosh to take on the Titans. The dual begins at 7 p.m.
