Blugold Women's Hockey Player Emily Larson Honored by NCHA

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire women's hockey player Emily Larson (Jr.-Bemidji, Minn.) has been recognized by the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) by being honorably mentioned on the All-NCHA team, announced today.

Larson, a defenseman, has played in all 25 games so far this season. She has five goals and four assists for a total of nine points, tied for fifth most on the team. Her five goals are tied for third best on the team. In 2011, Larson was named to the NCHA All-Rookie team.

The Blugolds begin the NCHA playoffs Friday when they travel to UW-River Falls to face the Falcons. Action gets underway at 7:05 p.m. and the second game of the first-round series will be contested at 2:05 p.m. Saturday.
