Meade named WIAC Kwik Trip Player of the Year

MADISON, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Lexi Meade (Sr. - Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Player of the Year for the 2022-23 women's golf season. Meade earned the honor for the second time in her Blugolds career and becomes one of just four golfers to have received the distinction multiple times.

Meade was the medalist at the WIAC Championship in the fall and finished the season with two first-place finishes and two runner-up finishes. She had a 77.4 stroke average for the year.

Meade first earned Player of the Year honors in 2020-21. She is the second Blugold ever to be a multi-winner of Player of the Year recognition, joining Maggie Loney (2005/2006) in that department. This season mark's Meade third appearance on the All-WIAC team.
