HASTINGS, Minn. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team completed day two of the D3 classic at Emerald Greens Golf Course. The Blugolds finished the weekend in 13th place with Lexi Meade (Sr.-Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) taking fifth place overall with a score of 150 over two rounds.
Lexi Meade (Sr.-Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) set the pace for the Blugolds tieing in 5th place. Meade went +4 over two rounds while recording the best individual score out of all WIAC schools participating in the D3 Classic. Jilli Newman (So.-Madison, WI) tallied +19 over two rounds for the Blugolds with an overall score of 165. Keely Morehouse (Fr.-Superior, WI) added to the excitement with a hole in one on the sixth hole at 111 yards.
Eau Claire will travel to the UW-Lacrosse Invitational Saturday, September 24th at Forrest Hills Golf Course in Onalaska, WI.
