Blugolds headed to NCAA Tournament for 2nd straight year

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's basketball team will compete in the 2022-23 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament. The Blugolds received an at-large bid to the tournament on Monday and will travel to the University of Chicago for the opening round. This marks the second consecutive season UW-Eau Claire has reached the NCAA Tournament.

The Blugolds will face Whitman in the opening round on March 3. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. This is the 24th appearance in a national postseason for the program, and the 18th trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Blugolds reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season.

UW-Eau Claire enters the tournament with a 20-8 record. The Blugolds reached the finals of the WIAC Tournament last weekend, where they finished as conference runner-up. They enter the NCAA Tournament having won four of their last six contests.
