After claiming five straight victories—three by double figures—and seven wins in their last eight games, the Blugolds found themselves down at half time.

Eau Claire started quick in the second half, rattling of the first five points to claim the lead.

The lead remained slim, until the Blue Devils pulled ahead midway through the second half.

Stout began pulling away, but the Blugolds refused to quit. They clawed their way back, moving into a tie as the minutes melted away. As the clock flashed one final minute, the Blue Devils hit a layup for the lead.

Eau Claire managed to put up two three-point attempts in the final seconds, but to no avail.

Teenie Lichtfuss (Jr. Oshkosh, Wis.) led the Blugold scoring effort with 20. It was the third time during the winning streak that she eclipsed 20 points.

Madison Johnson (Jr.-Osceola, WI) finished with 12 points, with Rachel Egdorf (Mishicot, Wis.) adding nine.

Courtney Lewis (Sr. Prairie du Chien, Wis.) scored six to go with her seven rebounds, while Kristin Sahr (Sr. Stillwater, Minn.) chipped in five.

The Blugolds (11-7, 6-3 WIAC) return to action on Saturday, traveling to Stevens Point (9-9, 4-5 WIAC). Tip-off is set at 4 p.m.
