EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire football team will play six home games and four on the road in 2012 as next season's complete schedule was announced today.
The Blugolds will open the season at home against the University of St. Thomas (Minn.), a team that played in the NCAA semifinals against UW-Whitewater in 2011, on Sept. 1 and will host St. John's University (Minn.) the following Saturday. The meeting against St. Thomas will be the first between in the two teams in history.
After playing two home games and following with a bye, the Blugolds will travel to UW-Platteville on Thurs., Sept. 20 for an evening contest against the Pioneers in non-conference play.
Conference action starts Sept. 29 with the Blugolds' Homecoming game against UW-Stout. The Blugolds will also be at home Oct. 13 (Hall of Fame Game), Oct. 27 and Nov. 10.
