MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire football player Coltan Ellis (So.-Rice Lake, Wis.) has been named to the week 11 D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware.

Ellis, a safety, had the second-most tackles for the Blugolds on Saturday as they beat UW-River Falls 27-21. Ellis recorded nine tackles (eight solo, one assist) while he broke up two passes. One of the broken up passes came at a critical time, late in the first half as River Falls attempted one final pass to the end zone before time expired.
