The Falcons lead the all-time series 49-35-7. River Falls has won
three of the last five, but Eau Claire earned five straight

LAST MEETING
BETWEEN THE TEAMS
Eau Claire showed its strength in a 38-17 victory over River Falls
earlier this season. In the non-conference competition, the
Blugolds scored 17 points in the first quarter and tacked on
another 14 by the end of the third. The Falcons managed two
touchdowns in the closing minutes of the game, but Eau Claire held
on to take the win. Blugold rusher Joel Sweeney had an impressive
performance, logging 105 yards and three of Eau Claire's five

Whitewater 37, Eau Claire 22 - Full Story
- Blugolds opened game by driving nearly the entire length of the field but Austin Neu threw an INT at the goal line to end the drive
- Whitewater went the entire length of the field and scored a TD
- Blugolds tied the game on the next drive with a Joel Sweeney TD
- Warhawks scored another TD after picking off another pass and blocked afield goal attempt by Eau Claire to take a 14-7 lead into halftime
- In the second half, Whitewater started the opening drive on the Blugolds' five yard line and scored another TD two plays later
- David Goodman then caught a 49-yard TD pass for Eau Claire to make the score 21-14
- But it went down hill from there for the Blugolds as Whitewater got two points after a safety and they scored twice in the fourth quarter for a 16-0 run
- The Blugolds scored a TD late in the fourth and added a 2-point conversion to make the score 37-22
- Austin Goetsch had a career-high 177 receiving yards and 11 catches

- Glaser is in his sixth season as the Blugolds' head coach
- Holds a 32-29 record with the Blugolds and a 45-46 career record. He is 19-22 in WIAC play.
- Guided the Blugolds to a 9-3 record in 2007, which marked the 6th best turnaround in the nation after a 3-7 season his first year
- Led the Blugolds to an NCAA Tournament Appearance in 2007, only the second time in school history (1998 was the first)
- WIAC and WFCA College Coach of the Year in 2007
- Blugolds finished 2nd in the WIAC in 2007. Finished 3rd in 2008
- Coached Marietta College (Ohio) from 2003-2005
- Led Marietta to first back-to-back non-losing seasons in 10 years
- Named Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2004
- Played for the Blugolds (1987-1990). Co-Captain of 1990 team
UWRF Head Coach: Matt Walker - Online Bio
- Walker is in his first season as Head Coach of the Falcons
- Holds a 1-8 record with the Falcons and is 1-5 in WIAC play.
- He replaces the Falcons longest tenured coach, John O' Grady, who retired after 22 years
- Head coach at DePauw University from 2006-2008 and compiled a 22-8 record
- Worked as an assistant coach with DePauw from 2000-05 working with running backs and wide receivers
- DePauw finished second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in 2007 and 2008
- During the 2010 season he was an offensive assistant at Butler University, working with tight ends
- Walker is just the third coach in the last 41 years at UWRF
- Walker played quarterback at DePauw from 1997-1999. he also earned three baseball letters and was an All-SCAC pitcher in 1999
