MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire football player Mitch Olson (So.-New Auburn, Wis./Chi-Hi) has been named to the week four D3football.com Team of the Week, the organization announced today.
Olson recovered a fumble on a kickoff as the Blugolds beat UW-River Falls 38-17 in a non-conference matchup Saturday. In the first quarter after the Blugolds scored their second touchdown, Olson got down the field quickly on the following kickoff and was able to pick up a loose ball. The drive ended the with a field goal to give the Blugolds a 17-0 lead. He also finished with three touchdowns for the day.
