The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team hosted the Dubuque University Spartans at Bollinger Fields on Sunday, coming away with another tie.
The Blugolds started off strong within the first 10 minutes after Emily Sullivan (Jr.-Medina, MN) scored her first goal of the season after a nice finish inside the box. Eau Claire would keep putting on the pressure and ended the game recording 11 shots on goal.
Dubuque would not let up though. In the 41st minute a counterattack would lead to a breakaway for Dubuque's Taylor Bettinger who would tie the game at one after finding the bottom corner past goalkeeper Anna Sveiven (Fr.-Blaine, MN).
The game would go into two overtimes, but neither side could find the back of the net.
The Blugolds will complete their three-game home stand on Thursday, as they take on Wartburg College at 4:00 p.m. for Youth Day. Follow all the action at Blugold Game Day.
