EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com)- The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Wrestling team hosted the Don Parker Open on Saturday, with several Blugolds turning in strong performances.
Zackary Sirny (Jr.- Wild Rose, WI) took place second with defeats over Aaron Dick of Concordia College by fall (2:17), and James Goman of Augsburg College with a 6-5 decision.
Nathaniel Behnke (Sr.- Bruce, WI) finished in 6th place with wins over Daniel Polanco of St. Cloud St. with a 3-1 decision and over Branden Peshek of UW-Whitewater by 9-2 decision.
Also getting a 6th place finish was Carter Focht (So.-Pine Springs, MN/Mahtomedi) after getting a win over Seth Rathburn of Milwaukee School of Engineering with a 7-3 decision.
The Blugolds are back in action when they take on UW-Stevens Point for Senior Night on February 9.
