WAVERLY, Iowa (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished in seventh place at the Wartburg Spring Invitational at the Prairie Links Golf Course.
The Blugolds shaved 11 strokes off Saturday's team score, shooting a 369 on Sunday to finish with a two-round score of 749. Carleton College won the tournament with a 629.
Eau Claire was led by Allison Chomniak's (Sr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) 16th place finish. The senior shot a 91 on Sunday to finish at 175 (+31).
Anna Uzpen (So. - Osceola, WI) and Abbie Ter Maat (Jr. - Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) both tallied a 92 on the day with Uzpen finishing with a score of 186 (22nd) and Ter Maat finishing with a score of 192 (t-34th).
In addition, Jessica Rudnicki (So. – Sun Prairie, WI) finished in a tie for 37th (196) while Hope Tiffany (Fr. – Baldwin, WI/Baldwin-Woodville) was 42nd (203).
The Blugolds will be back in action next weekend as they compete in the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling April 19-20.
