Chomniak leads Women's Golf at UWW Spring Fling

BELOIT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished in 11th place at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling at The Beloit Club on Saturday.

Results

The Blugolds improved upon Friday's 378 with a team score of 371 on Saturday for a two-round total of 749. Carleton College won the tournament with a team score of 620.

Allison Chomniak (Sr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) was the highest finisher for Eau Claire as the senior tied for 29th with a two-round score of 174.

Jessica Rudnicki (So. – Sun Prairie, WI) moved up from 64th place to tie for 53rd while Anna Uzpen (So. - Osceola, WI) also tied for 53rd, moving up six spots from Friday's round.

Hope Tiffany (Fr. – Baldwin WI/Baldwin-Woodville) shaved 13 strokes off her first round score to move up from 77th to a tie for 67th and Abbie Ter Maat (Jr. - Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) finished in 73rd.

Next up for the Blugolds is the Carleton Spring Invite April 27-28.
