    NEW ORLEANS (Blugolds.com) — After winning the program’s first national championship, the men’s cross country team continues to win awards as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named the Blugolds the 2015 Scholar Team of the Year while Josh Thorson was named Scholar Athlete of the Year.

    MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s cross country’s Lucy Ramquist has been named the 2015 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year, while head coach Dan Schwamberger has been selected the Men’s Cross Coach of the Year, based on voting conducted by the league coaches.

(Blugolds.com) - It was a great day for the UW-Eau Claire cross country teams who competed at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Augustana College at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, IL. The Blugolds took advantage of Saturday’s ideal racing conditions; which were perfect for mid-November with sunshine, a light breeze and temps in the mid 50’s; with the women placing fifth of 40 teams and the men finishing first of 38 teams both advancing to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships this upcoming Saturday.

    OSHKOSH, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire competed at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Cross Country Championships hosted by UW-Oshkosh at Lake Breeze Golf Course on Saturday, October 31st. The weather created challenging conditions with gusty winds, temps in the mid 40’s and a consistent drizzle that provided plenty of mud for competitors to race through. The Blugold men placed 1st of 8 teams with 33 points.
