EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's basketball teams have released their schedules for the 2022-23 season.

After ending their 2021-22 season 22-8 and winning the WIAC Championship, the Blugold women's basketball team is looking forward to another successful season. "We are extremely excited to build upon the momentum we established last season as we attack another challenging non-conference schedule that will ready us for the WIAC season.  This year's schedule includes six teams that participated in the 2022 NCAA tournament including last season's National Champion Hope College and Final Four participant Trine. The Hope College tournament played in Holland, MI and our holiday tournament that will be played in Greencastle, IN will be a tremendous opportunity for our team to be challenged prior to conference play.  We are especially looking forward to seeing our fans back in Zorn arena again after such a memorable opportunity to host the NCAA sectional last season." stated Coach Englund.

The team will take the floor in Zorn Arena to kick off the 2022-23 season November 11th and 12th at the Tip Off Tournament. The first WIAC contest will be played at home on Wednesday, November 30^th when the Blugolds host UW-River Falls.

The men's basketball team is ready for another competitive year in the WIAC Conference with a majority of their 2021-22 squad returning for another season. The Blugolds will start their season by playing an exhibition game October 30^th against UW-Madison at the Kohl Center. Their home opener is November 9^th  in Zorn Arena where they will take on Bethel. The Blugolds will be on the road for the BSN Winter Classic December 29^th and 30^th where they will match up against Marian and Ohio Wesleyan hosted by conference opponent UW-Oshkosh.
