Two Earn Men's Basketball All-Conference Honorable Mention

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - A pair of Blugolds on the UW-Eau Claire men's basketball team has earned All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention status, the WIAC announced today.

Marcus Ruh (So.-Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) and Amadou Fofana (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./West) both earned honorable mention for the first time in their collegiate careers.

Ruh was Eau Claire's top scorer, averaging 13.3 points each game. Starting all 24 games he played, Ruh ranked fourth in the conference in steals with a 1.58 average and fifth in the WIAC in assists with 2.88 each game.

Fofana started all 25 of the Blugolds' games and produced the second-best scoring average on the team with 12.2 points per game. Fofana ranked fifth in the WIAC for field goal percentage, making just over 60 percent of his shots from the field. Fofana also averaged .84 blocked shots each game, the sixth-best figure in the conference.

Fofana also received conference recognition as a member of the All-Sportsmanship team. Players receive this honor for demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship during the season.
