Barrett Named to Academic All-America Team

AUSTIN, Texas (blugolds.com) - College Sports Communicators (formerly known as CoSIDA) has released the 2022 Academic All-America volleyball teams. Arianna Barrett (Sr. - Lakeville, Minn./North) was named to the third team after her hard work on the court and in the classroom during her first semester as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

As one of the most decorated Blugolds of all time, Arianna Barrett has collected another award as a UW-Eau Claire student athlete. Barrett has been added to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America third team in her final season with the Blugolds. Barrett was named to the CSC Academic All-District team and received the 2022 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Judy Kruckman Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athlete Award this fall. The Communication Sciences & Disorders graduate owned a 3.76 grade point average as the Blugolds made their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the past five years. She received an undergraduate degree with a comprehensive major in communication sciences and disorders and a certificate in social work (gerontology emphasis).

This season Barrett also received First Team All-WIAC and AVCA All-Region honors.

UW-Eau Claire finished the season 21-10 after falling to Gustavus Adolphus 3-1 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday.
